Hamburg Relief- Acylic on Perspex.
The minimal drawing is very delicate and precise but at the same time through the drawing there is this impression of deconstruction. This drawing comes across as a blue print, a birds eye view of a building. It makes me think of ruins, a modernised design of a derelict area. An architectural drawing showing what once existed and remains. The drawing technique gives an indication of where the surrounding building once stood, the sharp coloured lines outlining something which once existed. The White pebbled area and grid structure are what is now left standing, the reference to what once existed, now just a ruin.
